Traveling to Ireland! Asking for natives and experienced travelers to help out with suggestions.
I'm traveling to Ireland (Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland) in March of 2018. I'll be staying for 19 days. I have booked a rental car and various accommodations all over the countries.
Here's my planned route, including the names of all my overnight stops
I was wondering if any Ireland residents or experienced travelers have any tips, tricks, or must sees for traveling in Ireland. I would love suggestions for any "unique" stops, local favorites, etc. I love to eat food, explore historic areas, meet people, and am open to new experiences. If you notice my route goes near something you think is cool, let me know!
Also, possibly more for the residents, does anyone know of any "junk" shops (thrift stores, antique shops, etc) In Dublin (or anywhere really). I love visiting junk shops in different countries. You can find some cool stuff and it's a great place for cheap souvenirs! Any favorite book stores would be appreciated as well. Basically anything that you wouldn't normally find on a general "Sights to see in Ireland website"
tl;dr Looking for unique stops for my Ireland visit
