[Suggestions] Looking for ideas on travelling for mountain views on a budget
Afternoon All,
There's people that love the beach, but I've always loved mountains.
I'm a huge budget traveller, usually just booking discount flights, packing a backpack, and doing it on the cheap (local buses, budget hotels, street foods, etc). My favourite destinations have always been those with mountains; Bled in Slovenia, Sapa in Vietnam, the Mae Hong Son loop in northern Thailand, etc.
However, being British and with the fall of the pound, European destinations are getting all the more expensive, especially destinations known for their peaks (Austria, Switzerland, even Slovenia now).
Does anyone have some recommendations for cheaper destinations? Ideally that can be explored in a fortnight?
