Scotland vs Ireland, single male solo trip.
Hey guys I’m a single 31-year-old male that’s planning on taking a one week solo trip to either Scotland or Ireland and trying to figure out which would be a better choice.
I know both are supposed to be fantastic places but I’m torn on which would be better to check out first, given I only have about a week. Main things I’d like to do would be during the day check out some very scenic areas.... castles, rivers, hikes..... anywhere I can that “majestic” feeling....also would like to be in very walkable towns so cool coffee houses and boutique shops would be great. At night would like to be able to escape to some good nightlife and meet new people.
Right now I am kind of leaning on four days in Glasgow and three days in Edinburgh just because from everything I’ve read Edinburgh is the great to get more that scenic experience I’m looking for but Glasgow would be more urban and I would get better night life and more of a “going out” experience that I’m looking for.
As for Ireland, I’m not sure where else I would check out beyond Dublin so if I did do the week I probably would just stay there which is why for now I’m leaning on Scotland.....but if anyone has some different opinions on where to go, please let me know....looking for some direction. Thank you!
