Planning a trip from San Francisco to Seattle or Oregon. Do you think this route is doable/enjoyable in 7 days road trip?
Here's the route that I just drew (I found those places from an answer in a forum, and thought it could be a good starting point), it's gonna change as I will remove the not very interesting places from it.
I'm thinking about heading to San Fransisco (I live on the East Coast of Canada) in November and drive up to Seattle or Oregon. I have about 7/8 days. Do you think it is enough to see most of the stuff I pinpointed on the map? I won't be stopping at every single one of those locations, due to the time I have and I want to see the most interesting ones only. There are some places that I REALLY want to see, like Haystack Rock, some places on the Shoreline highway.
I don't want to spend a lot of time in the city when we get to San Fransisco because I'm more interested in scenic places and hikes (if possible). So we want to get a car and start driving and depending on how far we can reach Seattle or Oregon, we will leave from there back to home. That's why I'm asking here so I can see if I can do this route and what do you suggest me doing? Leave from Oregon or Seattle? I'd like to at least drive through the Olympic National Park as well, not sure how accessible it will be though at that time of year.
