Looking for backpack recommendations
To preface this: I live in Canada, so I may not have access to some stores that others in other areas around the world do. But online shopping can solve some of those barriers.
So back in 2009 I purchased a 65L backpack. It also came with a small daypack which was cool. What I liked about this backpack is that it had some support for your back, and waist straps which were nice to buckle in. I also liked how the whole back area was zippered, so I could lay my backpack flat and unzip the whole back side and pack everything as if I'm packing a regular suitcase.
I bought this backpack at Canadian Tire, but they no longer carry backpacks like this anymore. In fact, a lot of places I look I see backpacks that are either a lot smaller, or they're draw-string at the top (which I wouldn't really trust using as checked luggage on a flight. I definitely don't want a backpack where I have to dig through the very top of to get to my stuff.
Any recommendations? It's basically time for me to look for a new one as over the years wear and tear has taken a toll.
