Hey I'm thinking of going to NZ for May-August on a budget of 2000$. I want to volunteer (ready to do anything, but would like to avoid animal jobs) and I mean volunteer, not pay money to work (although 200NZD for room and board for two weeks isn't a bad deal). I've been looking on workaway but winter results aren't showing up yet.

So are there any better places to look? Is there a better destination for a solo traveler looking for a three month trip on 2000USD?
