Hidden city ticketing: Should I tell the flight attendant or airport personnel that I don't plan on catching my connection?
I'm taking a Skiplagged-type flight later this week where I intend to stop at my connection point rather than take the final leg of my itinerary. I don't have any checked luggage, I'm not a frequent flier, it's a one-way flight, and it's definitely not the same aircraft flying both legs - so everything should be in order.
Is it common courtesy to let the airline (either on the plane or at the connecting airport) know I'm not taking the connecting flight? I'd hate to cause a delay while they try to call me out in the airport, but of course if there's any risk of repercussions for me, I'll just quietly exit the airport.
