Flying out of Florida this weekend?
I'll try to not make this too long. I live in Orlando, FL and I booked everything for my weekend birthday trip months ago, this includes the flight and the hotel. My flight is around 12:00 pm on Saturday to Pennsylvania, and I'm supposed (key word, supposed) to fly back Monday mid afternoon.
Right now, we're just a big question mark of what could happen. I've received no information from the airline about cancelled flights and the hurricane is predicted to be hitting the Cuba area on Saturday afternoon, possibly not hitting my neck of the woods until Monday. Of course I'm worried about not being able to get back home, but I'm more worried about not being able to leave because since I booked with Expedia to get a cheaper bundle deal, I'm almost certain my reservations are unchangeable, and I have an event I'm going too up there this weekend that I really can't afford to miss (literally).
I know no one can predict the weather but I've been in tears stressing out and everyone around me is being very negative and not helpful at all. Any advice? Tips? Nice things to say to calm me down, haha? I'm also flying with American Airlines, out of MCO (Orlando International) if that helps any.
