I went to Paris by myself (F/33) alone for a week. This was my first totally solo trip (i.e. not meeting someone on the other side) and it was one of the most incredible experiences! I am so angry with myself for waiting as long as I did and am already planning my next trip (I'm thinking London next year).

I did it all myself - I dealt with a travel agent for hotel/airfare but I researched and booked everything else on my own. I planned my days, organized my tours and was able to do and see what I wanted. Which was amazing - the last trip I took was with friends and dealing with different personalities and wants/ideas was exhausting.

I just wish that I had found this sub-reddit before going!
