Cabins in the UK for a solo weekend of isolation?
Hey Folks,
Hopefully this is the right subreddit for this, otherwise please point me in the right direction!
I live in London, UK. While I have a fairly active social life, I like to try get away from everything and just have a quiet break on my own. I am trying to make a tradition of going somewhere in the UK at least once a year that is secluded when I can just relax for 4 days reading by the fire etc.
I am pretty much looking for any suggestions of places that are drive-able from London since I have a car, that are also reasonably priced for someone to do Solo. I love the idea of remote/secluded cabins or huts where I wont see people or even have cellphone service. Last year I went to Wales and stayed in a cabin where I didnt see anyone for a few days and it was wonderful. Even had a hot tub to use!
The only issue is that a lot of these places I search for tend to be fairly pricey, and I am looking for cheap suggestions. doesn't need to be luxury, a bed, shower and a woodburner is all I need. I just ideally want something that is fairly isolated without people around. I usually aim to go somewhere in December when its cold. I have perused http://ift.tt/2lGkyRv quite a bit and a couple other sites, but I feel there must be a way to do this for less than £70-£100 per night?

So on that note, any suggestions? Have you done something of this sort before and have any advice/recommendations?
