Beach wedding destination in February?
SO and I are interested in escaping to a warm location in February to get married on a beach.
We’re open to just about anywhere within a 5-6 hour flight from the east coast of the US, so the Caribbean would certainly be an option, although I’m not sure who has come through Irma unscathed. I understand the Bahamas was largely unaffected, and Antigua as well.
I’ve also thought about some of the Mexican resort areas, or Costa Rica, perhaps. I’d love a European trip to, say, Santorini, but I think the weather won’t be what we’re looking for in February…
We’re interested in some place with nice beaches, good snorkeling, and enough non-beach activities to keep us busy for 1-2 days of sightseeing or museum-hopping if we need a break from napping on the sand. Nice lodging in the range of $150/night and vegetarian-friendly dining is also a plus.
TL/DR: Where can I do a beach wedding in February that hasn’t been destroyed by Irma and won’t cost an arm and a leg?
Thanks for any suggestions!
