Balkans and Central Europe for first-time solo-traveller: is this too much?
Hi everyone. I'm 18/M/UK looking to go on my first solo trip around the Balkans and Central Europe next May. I've put together a rough itinerary based on posts and comments I've read on here, and would really appreciate some criticism as I think it might be a bit too much:
LOCATION | NIGHTS | ACCOMODATION |
---|---|---|
Prague, Czechia | 3 | Sir Toby's |
Budapest, Hungary | 3 | Carpe Noctem OG / The Groove Hostel |
Belgrade, Serbia | 2 | Hedonist Hotel |
Sarajevo, Bosnia | 3 | Hostel SA (not party, war tour) / Doctor's House |
Mostar, Bosnia | 3 | Hostel Madjas |
Kotor, Montenegro | 2 | Old Town Hostel |
Split, Croatia | 2 | Split Guesthouse |
Hvar, Croatia | 1 | Hostel Marinero / Earthers Hostel |
Plitvice, Croatia | 1 | Falling Lakes |
Ljubljana, Slovenia | 2 | Hostel Tivoli |
Bled, Slovenia | 1 | Castle Hostel 1004 |
A bit more about me:
- I enjoy cities and towns more than the countryside with no real plans to go hiking (although I'm always down to try new things!).
- I like to immerse myself in the culture and history of the place I'm visiting so I try to avoid the touristy areas.
- I love a good beer, nice food, and the occasional party as long as I can get my sleep.
If anyone has any thoughts or advice I'd love to hear it. Thanks!
