2 passports, can I leave a country with one and enter the US with another?
- I have 2 passports from the same country, issued on the same day 100% legal, no funny business
- I have 2 because in my previous job I needed to send my passport to embassies to get visas whilst still traveling, in my country this (supported with documentation from your employer) is 100% legal
Reason I want to leave with one and enter with another: One passport is almost out of pages, and the other has just a few pages used.
Question:
I have entered the country that I am in on my A-passport (not my country of residence), so I have to leave with my A-passport, but I want to start using my B-passport, so I was hoping I could land in the US, and enter using my B-passport.
I am from an ETSA country, so I have zero problem getting a VISA (well, i don't need a visa as it means).
So I guess I am asking if I book my ticket with Passport-A, and then show passport-B at immigration in the US, what will happen?
EDIT: The ETSA thing is not an issue, please don't focus on that
