What to do with insurance back home?
Hi,
I'm planning my first solo adventure based on Workaways starting in September, and actually going outside of the US in October.
I plan to purchase traveler's insurance for medical emergencies and that, but now I realize - what do I do with my insurance here?!
I am a New Jersey resident enrolled through the Marketplace. I have been calling back and forth for advice and so far figure the best thing to do is cancel or fail to pay the last two months of the year, so that will qualify me for exemption from the fee. I will lose income as of mid-September, since I am quitting my job.
I won't weigh this down with any more personal detail, but happy to provide if you'd like to know more to help out.
Does anyone have experience with this? What did you do?
