Spirit cancelled flight and only offering refund or next available flight (in 10 days)
I had a flight out of Denver today, which was cancelled by Spirit since the plane we would be on was coming from Houston. They gave me very little notice and now I have to pay almost 700$ to get home with United (best option). Spirit is only offering to refund my ticket or put me on the next flight, which is September 6.
What are my options? They issued the refund, but this is completely unethical. I spent over an hour on the phone talking to customer service/supervisors. The customer service is abysmal. It seems I should just dispute the original charge with my credit card company. Does anybody have any suggestions?
