Always wanted to go to northern Norway and see the northern lights and now my price tracker on google flights shows sub-€200 prices for the first time (albeit in January) which is tempting me.

My concern is I'm not much of a social person and curious if there'd be anything to do solo other than hiding from the harsh weather in Tromso's January.

So far I'm planning to take a nightly aurora excursion tour, and probably a snowmobile experience, then take a one-night-trip to Lofoten area with a rental car.

So what was your experience like and what would you suggest me?
