Recommendations for a relaxing location in Italy next month?
Hi all, I just booked my tickets on a whim. I'm getting into Rome on September 12th and leaving on the 21st. I plan getting an Airbnb and spending ~4 days leisurely exploring the city. The problem is that I'm not sure where to go after that...
I don't enjoy hectic vacations where you're constantly traveling and sleeping in a different place almost every night, so I would probably only want to visit one more destination while in Italy. I want to stay in a low-key, walkable town, possibly near beaches or vineyards.
I'm kind of looking for something similar to Alaçatı, a coastal town in Turkey I visited a few years ago.
Activities that I'm looking for in a location: * find a local cafe or restaurant that I can make my local spot where I can read a book with a cup of coffee or glass of wine every day * walk to a sandy beach to read & swim * explore the town on foot * tour a vineyard * visit ruins/museums/art galleries * pet all the cats
Other important info: 32/F. I wasn't planning on renting a car, but that may change based on recommendations. Ideally, I would be able to find an Airbnb between $60-$90/night.
Thanks in advance!
