I spent 10 days in Taiwan
I traveled to Taiwan for the first time this month and loved it! Just wanted to share my experience :) I hadn't been anywhere overseas in my adult life, and this was the first time that I was travelling by myself. To say the least, I felt a little in over my head!
I spent less than $500 USD for the entire 2 weeks (excluding flights, and I was able to sleep on my friend's couchthankfully). The most expensive part of my trip was definitely my HSR ticket to Kaohsiung City ($2900NTD, approx $100 USD).
I was based in Taipei, Taiwan and stayed there the entire time. I spent majority of the time walking and biking from place to place within the city. For places that were a bit further I took the MRT which was easy to understand. There were places in Taiwan that I definitely want to come back for! I'm a very outdoorsy person but I didn't get the chance to do as much hiking as I wanted since they weren't very accessible. Just another reason to come back :)
