Four Days in Arizona. Road-trip Help
Crosspost with /r/arizona
Hi all! My wife, infant and I will have four nights in Arizona before making our way to Sante Fe where we will be meeting friends for a long weekend. I realize that is not a lot of time to see things, but I'd like to maximize our time there while still not wearing ourselves out with travel. My current plan is:
-
Arrive in Phoenix and drive to Sedona. Stay in Sedona for two nights.
-
Drive to Grand Canyon for helicopter tour and lunch in Grand Canyon Village. Drive on to Page for the night.
-
Easy day. Afternoon tour of Lower Antelope Canyon Drive to Monument Valley.
-
Up early to see the sunrise in Monument Valley before heading on to Santa Fe.
Is this too much? I'm thinking that it might be, even with a very well behaved and travelled infant, and am considering dropping either Page or Monument Valley for a third night in Sedona. Would that make more sense, and if so, which would you suggest I drop? Is there an option that I'm missing?
I have considered dropping both and heading to Winslow for an overnight enroute to Santa Fe from the Grand Canyon, but I-40 doesn't seem as intersting from a scenery standpoint. Thanks!
EDIT: We'll likely be making this trip in early Nov.
