Dubrovnik or more time in Tuscany?

I posted this last week but did not get a response so reposting as I'd love some insight! Apologies is if this is not the right forum or rules.

I'm heading to Italy next summer and doing some preliminary planning. The main attraction is 4 days in the Amalfi Coast. I'm really interested in checking out Dubrovnik while we're over there for a few days (and maybe even a day trip to Kotor while there) however I'm undecided yet if it's worth it or if I should spend the whole time in Italy as I've heard it's become quite touristy. I really would like to see kotor and don't see myself heading back to Croatia any time soon.

Currently, were looking at the following itinerary: - fly into Rome, go straight to Florence (3 nights) - Florence to amalfi coast (4 nights) - train to Rome and fly to Dubrovnik (3 nights) - fly back to Rome (2 nights) and back to NYC I was thinking if I were to ditch Dubrovnik, that would allow for a few nights in Tuscany somewhere (was looking at Val d'Orcia or Lucca) and maybe even a night in Cinque Terre.

Would love some input from anyone who has been to both Dubrovnik or the other parts of Italy!
