Caribbean Suggestions for Christmas Week?
I've been searching through r/travel for about a week and getting some good ideas. I'm trying to find something that meets what I'm interested in, but isn't so touristy and cliche that I'll regret it later.
Most of our trips are to Europe and visiting interesting sites and exploring. For this trip, we want to dedicate one or two days to visiting places, but mostly just want to relax and enjoy the beach. I've been looking at Cancun (Hyatt Zilara) and Aruba (Divi Aruba), but if there are other beautiful places that I should add to my list, please let me know.
It's myself and my partner. We are looking for adults-only if possible (not big fans of children). A place with good food, beautiful beaches, and upscale rooms. It doesn't have to be all-inclusive, but we did that in Punta Cana four years ago and enjoyed it. We're hoping to stay under $3000/person (flight+hotel) since we had an expensive trip to Europe earlier this year.
