Hey everyone in /r/travel

I have some time set aside during my current trip to spend around 6-8 weeks in the UK, I am not planning to cram every location I can in to the trip, but would like to see a few spots in each area.

So I will be landing in London spending around two weeks in various hostels there. From London I would like to go to either Ireland or Scotland, and then the other after that. I've budgeted expenses for 2-3 weeks in each place comfortably, but don't want to be rushing from location to location, I want to take in the views, photograph some of the sights and relax.

In Ireland I'd like to see some national parks around Kerry/Cork, Dublin and Belfast.

In Scotland I'd like to see Edinburgh, Fort William, Inverness and some surrounding areas.

After this I would like to head back to London where I will be returning back to my current location.

So what would be the best route for me to take to maximize my time on this schedule? Main purpose of the trip is photography and sight seeing,, so I am open to any suggestions for photography hot spots you guys would recommend as well.
