Best Europeans Cities to work at for Network Engineers?
I am a Paki-Canadian and have been living in Toronto for 8 years now. I do have a Canadian passport which makes my travelling life easier. I am a Network Engineer, and make decent money here, close to 6 figures, but I not happy and want to travel and discover myself and the world. I don't care if I get a pay decrease of 30-35%, as long I can work somewhere in Europe.
Just a background that Every summer I go to Europe for Rave festivals and exploring cities and spend all my 3 weeks of vacations there. The worst part is coming back to routine afterwards. My workplace is very dry with no social activities at all. I am a very social person which makes it tough for me to come back to reality. I daydream every time to go back to Europe again.
So, I want to move out of Toronto and spend atleast a year somewhere in Europe. I would love to live in Prague, Barcelona, Southern France or Amsterdam but scared of language barrier. So maybe London, UK is not that bad eh?
I want some help, to understand if my thinking is even making sense to you folks, because I will be leaving a very stable job and income here and go to Europe for minimum a year. I have a strong feeling that I might not be able to get a job in my profession. And money would be an issue there.
Also, which city is good for a Network Engineer who can only speak English and no other language?
I know I have left it for too late, but heeyyy, they say it's never too late. And even if I will be travelling when I am exactly 30, and I think I can still discover myself and explore Europe at the same time.
Would appreciate any help from you guys! Thanks.
P.S. I have explored REMOTE YEAR type of organizations, but they're too expensive and I will have to find my own job anyway.
Just a note that, I am NOT very skillful, and can't teach Swimming or Guitar or Rock Climbing. I am only good at my current job, so really looking for get something in my profession.
