I apologize if this has been asked before. I visited Thailand this summer and spent about $60 in bank fees and atm fees. I’m heading to Spain and Portugal for 3 weeks in January, but I’ve heard mixed things about there being less fees than in Asia? Is it worth looking into? Any experience with this type of checking account?
Could I keep no money in the account when I’m not traveling? Or is there an account minimum? It really seems too good to be true.
