Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways bought India’s Jet Airways at 24 percent stake in for $379m last month.Etihad Airway will provide finance the Jet Airways to buy 100+ planes at next month’s Paris Air Show.
According to Sydney-based consultancy firm CAPA Centre for Aviation, Jet Airways will soon order 50 737 max and about ten 777-300ER from Boeing and 50 A320neos from Airbus. Bloomberg news agency estimated the total value of the transaction would be around $12bn.

Last September, India relaxed the ownership for the local airlines to allow foreign carriers to buy up to 49 percent.

This is why, Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways bought a 24 percent stake in Jet Airways for around $379m.
This helps Jet Airways to become financially stable and Etihad Airways is now becoming one of the biggest carriers in the world.
