- a BTB report
Thai Airways reduced to buy aircraft from 38 to 21 planes which was originally planned to deliver from 2018-2022. This decision has taken because of disappointing performance in the first half of this year. Thailand's Cabinet was originally planned to spend about US$14.5 billion for flag carriers to buy 75 new planes. However, Thai Airways has already decided to start receiving 37 new planes from 2017.
Thai Airways also consider sluggish global economic recovery and a slowdown in Europe. There is also weaker growth performance. They also consider about global fuel price and fluctuation of their local currency.
Thai Airways will soon finalize their decision.
