Best transportation around the US
Me and my 2 friends are looking to circle the US in 2 months. We started looking at different modes of transportation and they seem pretty expensive for our taste. The general idea at first was renting an RV but it costs a lot and honestly I'm young and not very eager to drive a vehicle so large.
We then moved to the idea of renting a car but that got expensive real fast when the page asked for our age. Apparently the fact that we're under 25 triples the insurance. After digging around a little I've heard people buy cheap cars especially for this use. My question is, can I buy a used, $5000 give or take, car and then sell it for a reasonable loss to a different dealership 2 months later? Are there any insane fees or taxes I'm missing that would destroy our tiny wallets?
This is the first of many questions about our trip since it's still so far away. If there is a more specific, US oriented subreddit I'd love to be directed to it.
