1-3 Month 8000+ mile road trip across the U.S.
Hey Everyone. (Seeking road trip advice)
HOW YOU DOIN?? Next summer barring natural disasters/injuries/wars etc. I, a male, plan on doing a road trip across the United States from New York out west to Washington —> Down south through Cali and then to Vegas —> Go east along the southern United States and hit the east coast then travel back north to New York. Odds are I’ll be doing this solo which I’m entirely content with. I plan on camping as much as I can along the way, going to national parks/sites and I plan to seldom stay at hotels/hostels etc.
I’m huge into the outdoors too so any recommendations for places to hit up would be great. I’ve got a decent list of places to go to so far, made a list of what I’d need for my car/camping/personal use, and have an atlas being delivered soon. Plus I have experience planning road trips and driving long hours.
Though this will be the grandest road trip I have planned to date. I have yet to plan the main places I want to hit with a rough timeline. And any advice that you could give me whether it’s lists of what to bring so I can refine my list, what not to bring, do’s and donts, places to see, places to avoid, whatever it may be I’d greatly appreciate it!
