Backpack questions
In a month I will be travelling for a week in Ireland and then a week in Romania followed by a day in Lisbon. I purchased a 40l and 35 l backpack and was deciding between the two. I plan on trying to take my backpac as a carry on. My initial flight is with wow air , where I also accidentally purchased a carry on in addition to the personal item.
I thought it would be important to have an air flow backpack (with a physical frame along the back with mesh to allow air flow and prevent a sweaty back during this trip and future ones ( this will be my first time backpacking).
I just saw that both backpacks extend beyond the measurements for a personal item for wow air. This is not an issue for this trip (I have purchased a carry on with wow air and they fit within the measurements for carry ons with the other flights).
I'm not sure if I should do what my friends seem to have done ( buy backpacks without the airflow feature/ without the plastic back frame , only partly fill it, and fold it to fit in the measurement parameters. Will that lead to a sweaty back when using the backpack and will the airflow generated by the strategic foam placement be sufficient for comfort?) Or keep one of these backpacks and pay the carry on fee if I want to use it in the future with a budget airline that, like wow air, charges for not emailing bigger than a personal item.
Do you guys have any recommendations?
