Rate my Japan itinerary
I'm travelling to Japan for a month this October, I have pretty much planned it all but what I want really is advice from people who have already been. Am i spending too long/too little in certain places? Things that you discovered whilst exploring that are definitely worth checking out? My entire plan is based off lonely planet/trip advisor research and so i'm fairly confident in it. Also I haven't planned it in specific detail, as I know from travelling indonesia that when you meet other travellers or talk to the hostel owners, it can often change your day to day plans, so i thought no point going to that level of detail it will get ripped up as soon as i get there.
Tokyo (1 night) - Mt Fuji (1 night) - TsumagoJuku (otw) - Kyoto (4 nights) - [Nara, Kii Penisula, Kongo - Buji, Hiemji - Okunoshima - Takamatsu] (2 nights) - Hiroshima (2 nights) - Izumo (otw) - Tokyo (1 night) - [Matsumoto, Kamikochi, Takayama] - Kanazawa - [Nagano, Nikko] (2 nights) - Fukushima (1 night) - [Ginzan Onsen, Kakunodatamachi, Hirosahi] (2 nights) - Sapporo (2 nights) - Biei (1 night) - Niseko (3 nights) - Tokyo (1 night)
Other questions: Doesn't seem there is much to do/see north of tokyo, is all the main things south of there or is there a big hole in my research? On the same point, I thought there would be more to see in Hokkaido to!
