So, my (loose) plan is to go to four major cities and possibly surrounding areas during my trip, but I'd like to know if anybody has any notes regarding the duration of my stays in certain cities, or if there are any other must sees that I'd be missing out on if I go through with my current itinerary. I basically wanted to spend a week in each of Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, and Porto in that order. I'd really appreciate any tips because my friend (who's never been there) says a week in Madrid would be too long, and I should maybe try to see more than four cities in my stay. Both are pieces of advice which might be good, but I really don't know, I've never traveled anywhere interesting before let alone solo. Thanks so much for any advice to a beginner. I'm 20 by the way, not sure if that changes much.
