Making the most of a classic car road trip
My grandfather is on his deathbed. Best guy I’ve ever known. He’s got a mint condition ‘56 Oldsmobile with maybe 15K miles on it. I’m thinking of doing a big road trip for at least the month of July (I turn 26 on July 16) with his cool old boat of a car and his Saint Christopher pendant around my neck to keep me safe. I’m currently unemployed career-wise, but could make about $1000 a week next month for a short term gig in June. I’d be leaving from NY/NJ with a surf board, camping gear, and a decent camera. Where should I go? What should I do? How can I make the most of this trip? Can I partner with a charity or a brand and maybe get some funding? Very willing to write/blog/photodocument the trip.
