Had a friend just come back from Japan in January and said he found it hard to meet people out and about. He'd been to Europe, SE Asia and South America, but found it difficult to find other travellers to socialise and go out with whilst in Japan.

He's a pretty outgoing guy as it is.

I was planning to go with is August on my own, does anyone have experience traveling solo in the Japanese Summer and finding people to explore or party with?
