How do I make sure I don't get pickpocketed?
Going to Europe soon, and want to make sure I'm not walking around with a giant tourist target on my forehead. I'm a woman so I carry a purse with me, typically a cross body style which I keep in the front. I'm also planning to carry a second bag inside of my purse with important documents, money, etc. Which I will somehow attach to the external cross body purse. I'd hate to carry a fanny pack or something like that, I feel like it's a giant "look at me I'm American" thing.
What do you guys think?
Editing to add, we are going to be between countries so at times won't have the ability to leave valuables in a safe place (hotel, etc)
